The prestigious recognition, now in its sixteenth edition but with seventeen years of life, is the only one in Italy to reward the “good news”, that is, not only the correct and complete information, but also the one ready to take an extra step by telling the positive normality of the company. The delivery of the recognition, a bronze sculpture, specially melted by the artist Battista Marello, will take place on Saturday at 4 pm in the Library of the Seminary of Caserta (in Piazza Duomo in Caserta).
“The goal of the prize – underlines Michele De Simone President of the Promoting Committee of the Good News Prize – is to promote and disseminate the value of the correct and balanced information”. The day of the event will also be announced the annual activities of the prize, which from this year has been made in three: the “Good news prize in Jubilee”, the “Good News Prize” and the “Good News Book Prize” award. «The goal of our work is to promote and spread the value of correct and balanced information. The good news – explains Luigi Ferraiuolo, general secretary of the prize – was born from the hemidation of wanting to promote communicators and journalists who make good information also telling the positive sides of everyday life: because a good example is worth more than a thousand, even if committed, speeches. As a prize, then, in first person we propose and build good practices ». The meeting will be present, as always, the archbishop Monsignor Pietro Lagnese, pastor of Caserta and Capua.
