It debuts tonight on Rai 1 The lucky starthe new three-part series co-produced by Rai Fiction and Paypermoon Italia. Directed by Luca Brignonefiction is a story crime which combines the investigation with the personal stories of the protagonists, at the center of a story of mistakes and the possibility of redemption.
The plot
They are at the center of the story two characters marked by a difficult past. Simone, a former footballer with a career that never really took off and a marriage that ended behind him, finds himself involved in a violent episode and decides to take away a bag full of money. What seems like an opportunity to get back on their feet soon turns into a grave danger: the money belongs to criminals who are ready to do anything to get it back.

At the same time, Stella, a police inspector with a determined character and little inclination to rules, returns to work after the loss of the man she loved. The investigation into that case forces her to deal not only with criminals and internal obstacles, but also with still open wounds.
Their stories develop on two planes destined to intersect: on the one hand Simone’s escape together with his ex-wife Alessia and daughter Giada, on the other the investigative work of Stella, who is increasingly involved on a personal level.
The story unfolds between Rome and Calabriaalong a path marked by the escape of the protagonists.
The cast
Leading the series is Miriam Dalmazio in the role of Inspector Stella, supported by Filippo Scicchitanowho plays Simone, a former football hopeful. Also in the cast Francesco Arca in the role of Valerio, manager of Internal Affairs with whom Stella has a complex and conflictual relationship, and Laura Cravedi in the role of Alessia, Simone’s ex-wife, committed to protecting her daughter. The cast is completed by, among others, Claudio Corinaldesi, Massimo De Santis And Alessio Praticò.
A story between tension and redemption
The lucky star tells of a double path: on the one hand the escape, on the other the investigation. But at the center remains the journey of the protagonists, called to deal with their own choices. The story develops as a journey that is not only geographical, but also internalin which mistakes, fragility and family ties intertwine in the search for a second chance.
When it airs
The TV series debuts tonight Monday 13 April in prime time on Rai 1, with the first two episodes. Consisting of six episodes in total, distributed over three evenings (two episodes for each appointment), the subsequent episodes will be broadcast Monday 20th And Monday 27 Aprilalways in prime time. All episodes will be available also in streaming on RaiPlay.
