Each summer, it’s the same thing, the watches invade the interiors and make everyday life unpleasant. However, it only takes a small gesture to neutralize them.
The flies come back en masse, and especially this summer. In question? A mild winter followed by a warm and humid spring that favored the rapid development of pests, both in public spaces and in homes. However, it is not inevitable: there is an old technique which allows them to dissuade them from settling in your home.
First of all, you should know that the flies are particularly attracted to decaying fruits, humidity and food remains, which explains their strong presence in kitchens and gardens. A good hygiene of these spaces is therefore a good starting point to limit the invasion. Then, a natural tip can quite help reduce their presence and it is enough to slip a small object in the right place. Unlike a trap that attracts them, this solution acts rather as a repellent in two ways. On the one hand, the object will make a natural smell that the flies do not appreciate frankly and this will dissuade them from approaching. On the other, the cork cork, when placed in a basket of fruit, slows down the maturation of the latter. The cork absorbing moisture and ethylene gas, the process takes more time and the smell that attracts flies is also limited. By adding this small object to your kitchen, you will therefore have two benefits: fruits that last longer and distant wicks.
To use it as repellants, the ideal is to cut the cap into two or in thick rings. If the basket is large, you can of course use several traffic jams. It is also possible to place plants on the soil of plants, or in sensitive areas such as the trash can or the wet places of the kitchen. For optimal efficiency, it is advisable to change the cork cap regularly, especially if the room is particularly wet.
You will understand, if this method is effective in prevention, it does not eliminate them. If you are already invaded, it is better to use an active trap made from apple cider vinegar: 100 ml of apple cider vinegar in a bowl with a few drops of dishwashing liquid. All covered with a cling film pierced with small holes. This is one of the most effective methods to get rid of it.
