For glowing skin, this ingredient straight from Australia and rich in vitamin C could well become our new Holy Grail. Ready to change your moisturizer and serum?
To pamper your face and have beautiful skin, the choice of ingredients is essential. And the champion for boosting the skin’s radiance has always been vitamin C. Essential in the beauty routine, it is generally found in serum or moisturizing cream and is full of benefits. To make the most of its benefits, you must rely on this fruit straight from Australia. Used for centuries by the island’s indigenous peoples for its healing properties, it is also 100 times richer in vitamin C than an orange. This is the highest natural concentration in the world. A true champion of good looks! But that’s not all: its richness in antioxidants makes it a valuable ally in the fight against external aggressions.
But then, what is this treasure of nature that makes the entire cosmetic industry tremble? Although it is starting to invade the shelves of our favorite beauty brands, its name still remains a well-kept secret among those in the know. This is the Kakadu plum, also known by the scientific name Terminalia ferdinandiana. It has a great advantage compared to classic, very unstable vitamin C: it is naturally accompanied by molecules which stabilize it and improve penetration into the skin. Better yet: unlike synthetic treatments which can sting or irritate, its organic formula offers gradual and therefore ultra-gentle assimilation. The guarantee of an immediate boost of radiance, even for the most sensitive skin! A real gold mine for the face, Kakadu plum also helps reduce hyperpigmentation and brown spots. It stimulates the production of collagen for firmer and plumper skin.
But beyond the benefits linked to the presence of vitamin C, this fruit has many other qualities. It contains vitamin E and iron, which nourishes and protects the epidermis. It also contains zinc, with anti-inflammatory properties and therefore very effective on imperfections. In short, we will have understood: everyone can find something for themselves.
For the moment, cosmetic manufacturers who use Kakadu plum are rather rare. The reason? It grows exclusively in the tropical regions of northern Australia and depends on a very specific ecosystem. The harvest is very regulated, which makes it an expensive resource. The New Zealand brand, Antipodes, has nevertheless dedicated a range to it. For its part, the French brand Onagrine has incorporated it into its anti-fatigue night balm. Precious, gentle on the skin but extremely effective, the Kakadu plum has not finished making people talk about it.
