Do you want a new decor but don’t have the budget to devote to it? You can completely transform your interior without spending a cent.
With each change of season, the desire to review your decor returns. The days are getting shorter, the light is different, and certain elements of the house seem less out of place. We then imagine a more welcoming interior for the winter, but we often tell ourselves that this requires new purchases. Result: we postpone the project until later.
Before thinking about renewing your decoration, it is useful to identify what could easily change: an empty corner to enhance, an object that has become invisible, a piece of furniture that could be better used elsewhere. This quick diagnosis is often enough to unlock the next steps.
It is generally once this first visual sorting has been done that the solution appears. To change the atmosphere of a room, it is not necessary to buy new objects: it is often enough to move those that you already have. A rug stored under a bed can become the element that warms up a living room. An armchair left in a bedroom can find real use in a living room. Frames that have been hanging for a long time can be placed on the floor or rearranged to create a more lively decor.
This method works all the better in November when you are mainly looking to make your interior more comfortable. You can take out the thicker textiles stored during the summer, simply change two cushion covers, add a lamp that you already had to create a reading corner. These simple gestures are enough to change the perception of the room without incurring new expenses.
The cold season also allows you to integrate natural elements that are easy to find: a few bare branches in a vase, pine cones in a basket or a candle installed on a console bring a seasonal touch that is very easy to put in place.
And if you have leftover paint in the attic, it is possible to give a second lease of life to a slightly dull piece of furniture. A quick coat is enough to restore character and anchor the new ambiance of the room.
