After 60 years of a busy career in television and radio, Jean-Pierre Foucault has (almost) no more secrets for the French. At 78 years old, the flagship presenter of TF1 has been part of their daily lives for several generations. But did you know that Miss France’s master of ceremonies was a true collector and that he owned a rare object of considerable value?
Jean-Pierre Foucault: this rare (and not cheap) piece that he owns
While Jean-Pierre Foucault was recently a guest on the podcast Never Said hosted by Isabelle Farrugia, an Internet user, clearly observant and very informed, immediately noticed a (very) beautiful object on the host’s wrist. “Clearly Jean-Pierre is a fan of vintage watches with his Rolex Milgauss on his wrist (collection discontinued by Rolex and only available on the second-hand market)”, wrote the user in a comment on the video. To which the podcast host responded: “He’s a real collector.”.
The price of this famous jewel generally exceeds 15,000 euros. And, at auction, its price can double or even triple depending on the models. Especially since the famous watch officially disappeared from the Rolex catalog in 2023. A very precious object therefore!

Two years ago, invited in We’re doing TV again on RTL, Jean-Pierre Foucault had already confided that he was a big collector, particularly of old cars, old watches and, more surprisingly, old radio sets. “They are all in working order and now it’s a bit complicated to use them”he added, proud of his findings. Moreover, the legendary presenter of Who wants to make millions had also made it known that he had kept all his magazine front pages, as well as his first employment contract… And his first dismissal letter!
“I keep everything, what do you want, it’s like this”he then had fun. And it’s up to him to confide: “I have an office, a bit of a museum, where not many people go in, except me, but I like to go and look at what happened, find memories whether good or bad”. His office in his beautiful house in Carry-le-Rouet, a small town in the South of France, located not far from Marseille, must therefore be full of treasures!
