You don’t need to know how to sew to create bibs for baby’s meals. Take a simple pair of scissors and in less than two minutes, you’re done!
Before the baby is born, parents are on all fronts to prepare for the arrival of this little loved one. Whether it’s childcare equipment, the child’s bedroom, clothes, bottles or accessories to have on hand… Everything can be anticipated. But as he grows, we sort through his things and often end up with piles of bags of toys and books that he no longer uses, or clothes that have become too small for him. Result: we tend to buy equipment, clothes in the right size, but also bibs which are still useful, even after a few years.
So, to avoid spending for nothing, while sorting through your drawers, here is a tip that should please all parents. And the good news is that you don’t need to have sewing skills! It will only take you a minute or two and you only need a little scissoring. This clever technique comes from Karolina, aka @karolina.ma.maternité, a young mother who shares her tips on the social network Tiktok. His genius idea is to transform an old bodysuit into a bib!
So start by sorting out the birth bodysuits that were important to you, if you don’t plan to keep them for another baby of course. But you will be spoiled for choice since any bodysuit can suit this idea of recovery, whatever the size. All you have to do is cut the bodysuit using a pair of scissors, approximately in the middle widthwise. Open the buttons on the body’s fastener and turn it over so that they face inward.
All you have to do is put this new bib on your baby’s head during his next meal. Don’t hesitate to customize other bodysuits lying around in your closet to reuse them as bibs. With this little tip, you should no longer need to buy other bibs and will be able to let your child discover food freely.
