For a memorable wedding day, a new video concept is increasingly appealing. A bold innovation that has a big surprise in store for guests, on the very day of the ceremony. We’ll tell you more.
Looking for something original for your wedding? This unexpected entertainment should please you! A well-established concept in the United States, it is an audiovisual service featuring the guests and the bride and groom themselvesAttracting more and more French people, this new trend guarantees high-quality filmed images aimed at making an impression on the big day.
What is this filmed animation?
If you have looked at the traditional slideshows, photo booths and other guest books, you should know that this trendy service, created by a photographer/videographer, is the winning recipe for an exceptional wedding. Called Same Day Edit, The principle is to immortalize D-Day from the preparation of the bride and groom to the dinner or the opening of the ball. The goal? That everyone visualizes in preview this wedding day, rather than waiting for the conventional wedding album mounted a few months later. In this way, the first highlights of the ceremony, such as the arrival of the bride, the passing of the rings, but also the decoration and the conversations picked up on the fly, will be broadcast in front of all the guests on the same day. Luc Mpungi, videographer and director of the Frères Lumières, indicates: “Playing on emotion works every time. We try to capture the speech of the parents or a discussion between a mother and her daughter. The aesthetic plans are also important“. The video expert advises showing this recap filmed just before the bride and groom arrive on the dance floor: “This creates a double punch and sets the mood for the rest of the evening.“. Knowing that the shooting continues until the end of the night!
How does it work?
For a quality result, Luc Mpungi recommends having at least two professionals: a photographer and a videographer. Indeed, while one will be responsible for immortalizing the most precious moments of the wedding, the other will ensure the best moments are compiled through a worked montage. A task that requires experience and skills in this area. The two audiovisual experts will have been guided, beforehand, by the bride and groom on the desired atmosphere and style. There are two possible formulas, either editing on the day itself, or pre-editing carried out in advance with the bride and groom in Paris or abroad, then completed with images from the big day.“, explains Luc Mpungi. Once the editing is finalized, the video is projected on a large screen, like in the cinema, to appreciate the smallest details. In terms of prices, you have to expect between 800 euros and 1,500 euros. An expensive but unforgettable performance.
