100 million tourists in France in 2024? France, already the world’s leading tourist destination, will undoubtedly beat its own record, thanks to the Olympic Games. While such a quantitative performance is impressive, the fact remains that our tourist offering still has room for improvement.
First of all, we are not champions of tourism revenues: with 63 billion euros in 2023, we are far behind Spain, which manages to generate 85 billion in revenues with 85 million tourists. This means that a tourist spends on average 650 euros in France compared to 1,000 euros in Spain.
