The owner is an investor in real estate. He buys, renovates and rents apartments. During his previous projects, he managed the projects, but there he did not have the time to take care of them, because he was already supervising the transformations of his main residence. He therefore turned to Little Worker to help him review these properties, located in the heart of Bordeaux. These are two lots, well located on rue Fondaudège in the Gironde capital, with a breathtaking view of the Palais Gallien. They had to be brought together and transformed into accommodation for a family with two children.
An opening that brings a real plus to the apartment
The owner had the idea of creating a terrace in the attic part of one of the lots. He had started to study the feasibility of the thing, which was then taken over by the Little Worker teams. This roof terrace brings lots of light to the living room and allows you to enjoy the beautiful view of the Palais Gallien. As the apartment is on a slope, there are certain areas of the accommodation which have very low ceilings. The architects were able to exploit every square meter without feeling cramped thanks to well-thought-out layouts and they accommodated lower areas. It was also necessary to create a certain coherence to connect the pieces together. As they were two different batches. Here again, everything has been well thought out so that at no time can we imagine that there were two separate accommodations initially. The parquet floor has been given a new lease of life after being sealed and sanded. The beams have undergone a good cleaning: unnailed, cleaned, sanded and varnished. They bring an undeniable character. Finally, the careful decoration was the final touch to make this apartment warm and pleasant. Moreover, friends of the owner, who fell under the charm of the place, wanted to buy it from him.
