Official partner of the event, VELUX® met us in Vannes, at the start of the Tour de France Femmes with Zwift 2025, and behind the scenes, in the paddocks where the cyclists warm up. And what an atmosphere! The Bretons, and not only that, were there as well as Victoire Berteau, who confided in her ambitions for this tour.
Born on August 16, 2000 in Lambres-lez-Douai, Victoire Berteau has established herself as a rising figure in French cycling. Versatile, it excels both on the track and on the road. Among her recent exploits, she won the title of French road champion in 2023, after being vice-European omnium champion in 2021. Alongside her sporting career, Victoire is also a soldier in the Army. Today, she confirms her talent within the Cofidis Women team, where she continues her rise in the professional peloton.
Le Journal des Femmes: What is your state of mind for this Tour de France Femmes with Zwift 2025?
Victoire Berteau : I feel good, I have good preparation so I am keen to shine on this tour and to show what the Cofidis team is worth in a competition like the Tour de France.
What exactly does it represent to you?
Lots of things, well less than Paris-Roubaix (laughs) (nldr. following a concussion and wrist trauma that occurred during a fall a few days earlier, she did not start the Paris-Roubaix Femmes this year), but it represents a lot, especially for women’s cycling. It’s important to be highlighted so much and whether it is broadcast on France 2 and France 3, like men. We are in their succession, now I hope the public will follow.
Which stage are you most looking forward to this year?
A little all, he There are always opportunities! We saw it this year, it’s a bit of a battle to see who will control the peloton. Take the breakaways well in advance, why not, and then play and win. We can expect a lot of scenarios, the favorites must not declare victory too quickly!
