After the TV rights saga, the season has started. But how much does it cost to watch all the football? For the period 2024-2025, seven television channels share the broadcasting of European football matches.
First, Ligue 1: at full price, you have to pay no less than 39.99 euros per month to watch almost all the matches of the French championship live on the British platform DAZN, as well as the Women’s Champions League.
But in Ligue 1, the Saturday match at 5 p.m. will be broadcast on BeInSport: 15 euros per month for the Qatari channel, with Ligue 2, the Coupe de France, the Spanish Liga and the Bundesliga.
The Champions League will be on Canal+. Without a subscription, at 45.99 euros per month with BeInsport in addition, the Europa League and the English championship.
France Télévisions will broadcast some matches of the Coupe de France. To see the Blues play, switch to TF1, and for the French women’s team, switch to M6. The channel will also broadcast the Champions League final in May 2025.
And for real football fans, the L’Equipe Group, already present on TNT and which also has some broadcasting rights, has just launched a new channel dedicated to football for its subscribers. At 9.99 euros per month… but when you love it, you don’t count.
A hefty bill that made fans jump. Many turned to piracy via social networks, IPTV or the use of VPNs. A massive phenomenon: on Telegram alone, more than 200,000 people illegally watched the opening match of the French championship.
