Returning to the cinema with the comedy “Le Marsupilami”, actor and director Philippe Lacheau made a revelation in the middle of the promotional tour. Elodie Fontan’s darling is terribly angry…
While he is in full promotion of his latest film, The Marsupilami (already more than 2 million entries), Philippe Lacheau took a tour of the set of Happy Sunday ShowBruno Guillon’s show broadcast on RTL. The 45-year-old director and actor spoke about a great moment of solitude experienced on the set, and during the first broadcast of the film.
Philippe Lacheau (The Marsupilami) : “And above all, the little one, we shaved his hair”
Élodie Fontan’s companion therefore explained why Franck Dubosc, initially present in the film, ultimately did not appear in the credits of the Marsupilami. As often happens in cinema, his one and only scene was cut during editing. “Actually, it was a scene where I was fighting with my ex-wife. Anyway, there was hair removal cream coming through the window. And he was knocking because his son had taken the hair removal cream”first told the story of the man who, in life, is the father of little Raphaël. “Tell you, we shaved a child’s head for the scene, so he could play with the hair where he said: ‘Do you like throwing hair removal cream?'”he then detailed, more and more uncomfortable.
It must be said that, for the needs of the scene, the director made the decision to shave the hair of the young boy who played Franck Dubosc’s son: “And in fact, by defending the kid (…) Because he was winnowing him on his physique (…) The little one had saddlebags. In short, we were charging him. And above all, the little one, we shaved his hair”. A scene in the film cost a little boy’s hair… And it wasn’t even kept in the editing!
Philippe Lacheau ashamed: “Just talking about it makes me feel bad”
“Screening team, so I warn Franck that he’s not in the film, and he gives me a very funny answer, he says: ‘I don’t care because I know it’s going to be a shitty film’. So I see that he takes it with humor. Except that I’m going to the press screening…”then explained Philippe Lacheau. “And you didn’t warn the child?”his host then immediately questioned him, embarrassed for him.
To which the director responded in the negative: “At the end of the film, the child who comes to see me with his parents. Horrible! And I see the little one with his hair that has grown back… A little. No, but there, it’s uncomfortable, I’m sad (…). Sorry to say that I didn’t think about it (to warn him that the scene had been deleted, editor’s note)”. Before letting people know: “He’ll be in the DVD bonuses, so he still sees the scene. Because what’s more, I swear, you take the scene alone, it’s funny. But it really comes at the wrong time…”. And to conclude, ashamed: “Just talking about it makes me feel bad”.
