At the time a go-go dancer in a nightclub, she had decided to entrust her baby, named Mindy, to the DDASS, considering that it would not be able to make her happy and provide for her needs. As for the father, he thought his daughter had died as a baby, since Loana had made him believe that was the case.
For years, Mindy grew up in foster care, until the father regained custody after discovering that she was finally alive in 2001. In 2016, Mindy made rare confessions to Closer explaining: “For a long time, I waited for her, in vain, day after day, year after year, without her being there“.

Loana, whose end of life was marked by serious financial difficulties, had finally come to terms with it, while remaining hopeful that one day, perhaps, her daughter would agree to reconnect. “Mindy wants to live a normal, calm and serene life. I respect his wish, I understand it and that is why I never mention it and not because I deny our history“, assured the former reality TV star on Instagram in 2019. She had also deleted her daughter’s phone number in order to move on more easily.
