On August 30, Christian Delagrange said “yes” to the new woman in his life, Mélissa Vanwanghe, 40 years his junior. The two lovebirds got married in Wattrelos, a small town located on the Belgian border, the young woman’s region of origin.

For the moment, they have not yet agreed on a honeymoon. “With all these projects, we didn’t really have time, but maybe in January… We’ll send you the photos!”confided the principal concerned in the columns of France Sunday. It must be said that Christian Delagrange has no shortage of projects…
“I have a hell of a time and lots of projects. Always galas, my NGO with which I remain very active and a new album, a bit autobiographical, which is coming out this fall”he said. Before conceding: “I don’t have time to breathe, it’s a lot of work, only happy work, because whatever the project, it’s always a mix of love and emotion that I also share with Mélissa”.
And what about the health of the 78-year-old singer, who participated in the tour Tender age ? “I do sports, don’t drink, don’t smoke, don’t do drugs… Except for love! Which is super effective and much cheaper”. Very in love with his wife, the successful singer of the 1970s finds in her “discretion, gentleness, kindness”… “Her way of being attentive to everything that happens to me, of making sure that I am well, that I lack nothing, of always giving me the best (…) She is my little guardian angel!”he admits.

Between Christian Delagrange and his wife Mélissa, things took their time. They met “about twenty years ago”. “Her parents, who went to many of my concerts in Belgium, ended up becoming friends (…) Very often, their daughter Mélissa was there, very nice. So much so that one day, I asked her to work with me”recounted the father of four children, Melody, Kelly, Clayton-Thomas and Saona.
And the singer of I will love you my love to tell: “Then, over the years, by being together all the time (…) we became very friends. More than my manager, she was my friend (…) And after fifteen years, this friendship turned into love (…) The more I looked at her, the more I told myself that she was the ideal woman. Since we got married, it’s even better!”
