And she just celebrated her 90th birthday at the hotel Fairmont Monte Carloin Monaco! No wonder since Marianne Brandstetter resides, according to the local daily, in this exceptional hotel in Le Rocher.
For the occasion, the new nonagenarian was surrounded by beautiful people… If Prince Albert of Monaco could not be there, he thought of having a “greeting card and a large bouquet of red and white flowers“. Alexandre Ariel, general manager of the hotel, and Victoria Barker, executive assistant, but also the widow of businessman Michel Pastor (and mother-in-law of David Hallyday) Catherine Pastor, Princess Isabelle de Polignac and Countess Bénédicte von Schönborn-Wiesentheid were present to see her blow out her candles, as was her famous friend, the writer and journalist Henry-Jean Servat. “Her first idea had been to prepare for all her guests a gigantic and magnificent sauerkraut, her favorite dish, but she was not sure that this specialty from across the Rhine, which she loves, would please everyone.“, he first explained to Nice-Morning. So, the one we nicknamed “the baroness” chose a completely different, more sophisticated menu: “Eggs Benedict with salmon and squash soup as starters, followed by grilled sea bass fillet or beef chuck with mash and vegetables“. The party was successful and “many bursts of toast” were worn in honor of Baroness Brandstetter.
In recent years, Marianne Brandstetter has shared her life between Monaco, New York and Miami and has continued to participate in social life on the Rock. In 2018, she also organized a sale of her belongings within the hotel Fairmont Monte Carlothe profits of which were paid to the association “Les Anges Gardiens de Monaco”.
Marianne Brandstetter was the wife of the aristocrat and businessman Frank von Brandstetter, who made his fortune in luxury hotels and real estate. When she died, she received millions of euros in inheritance.
