Cute little ones have found a simple tip to eliminate the bad smells of the house.
With the return of heat, the bad odors quickly settle in the house. Sofa, carpet, dog basket, trash can, shoes … The air becomes heavy, sometimes unpleasant, especially in the little airy rooms. We open the windows, we spray indoor perfumes, but often, it does not hold. Worse: it masks instead of solving the problem. A simple tip circulates and proven itself in many homes. It requires little equipment, costs almost nothing, and only takes two minutes to set up. However, it can change the smell of an entire room.
You have to understand one thing: most domestic odors come from tissues, forgotten corners, and objects that absorb humidity or fats. Deodoring sprays only temporarily cover the smell. There is a solution that absorbs and neutralizes odors at source. This is where a simple method comes in: the sock filled with baking soda. For this, you need a clean sock or a bottom, baking soda and elastic or other link.
Fill the sock with 4 to 5 tablespoons of bicarbonate. Do not tamper too much. You can possibly add dried lemon peel. Close well to prevent the powder from escaping. Then slide this sock under a sofa, behind a piece of furniture, in a cupboard or at the bottom of a shelf. The place does not need to be visible. On the contrary, the idea is to hide it.
Soda bicarbonate acts as a smell trap. It absorbs humidity and captures the particles responsible for bad odors. In a few hours, the air becomes more neutral. In a few days, some smells disappear completely. This system works particularly well in poorly ventilated rooms or confined areas. You can place several in a house: living room, bedroom, dressing room, laundry room.
Replace the socks every 15 to 20 days so that the effect remains effective. Bicarbonate can also be emptied in the sink after use: it will clean the pipes.
