Dorothée was at the helm of the favorite shows of the 1980s and 1990s generations: Recreation A2 then the mythical Dorothée Club. The opportunity also for Dorothée to clarify certain things… Starting with the brutal and sudden stopping of the Dorothée Club in August 1997. “Once the shock has passed, we move forward. Life continued, and I remained in contact with the public”she declared in an interview in TV 7 days. “I have received so many messages of support, drawings, poems! I always receive them, in fact, of all kinds: when some tell me that they have named their baby Dorothée, others confide about their lives, which moves me a lot”, she added.

So far, few things have appealed to me, but I don’t despair. Maybe one day there will be a grandmother role for me in the cinema or in a series?
Dorothée, who lives between Paris and her house in a small village in Normandy, according to previous revelations from producer Jean-Luc Azoulay, is more or less retired. In 2018, she made a cameo in the movie Nicky Larson and the Scent of Cupid by Philippe Lacheau. And, in 2023, Dorothée lent her voice to the character Airazor for the film Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.
The host, always very discreet about her private life since we do not know of her husband or publicly displayed romantic relationship, was also questioned by 7 Days TV about the possibility of resuming her singing career. “As for the scene, we will see… Everything in its time”, she replied soberly.
