What is the young booklet?
A regulated savings product
The young booklet is a regulated savings product reserved for young people aged 12 to 25 living in France. All banks have the opportunity to offer it.
A risk -free placement for minors and young people up to 25
It allows you to place your money without risk, while taking advantage of favorable remuneration conditions. Funds stored on a young booklet are permanently available, and can be removed free of charge with the authorization of the legal representative (for minor people under the age of 16).
Can we have several young booklets?
No, the number of young booklets is limited to one per person. It is forbidden to open several to the same name. Before the opening of the booklet, the bank must verify that no other booklet of this type is open within the bank or in another banking establishment. It is possible to know if we have an inactive young booklet by going to the Ciclade site of the Caisse des Dépôts. If this is the case, the holder can then apply for restitution. After validation of the request, the funds are fired directly on the bank account.

Finally, the legal representative of the minor will have to affix his signature.
Reception of a withdrawal card
The young person must receive from the banking establishment (Banque Populaire, BNP Paribas, Banque Postale, Caisse d’Epargne …) a document that explains the operation of the young booklet and/or a booklet where to register his deposits and withdrawals. It can also obtain a withdrawal card, only usable in automatic ticket distributors.
