Several devices make it possible to lighten the cost of children’s extra -curricular activities. PASS’SPORT, Activ+coupons, Ancv checks… Overview of the aids to which you can be entitled.
With the resumption of registrations for extra -curricular activities in September, families often have to face a significant budget. On average, extra-curricular activity costs around 140 euros per year. To lighten this expenditure, several financial aids exist, proposed by the Family Allowance Fund (CAF), the Mutualité Social Agricole (MSA), the State or even local authorities. Some are cumulative, thus offering real support to parents.
Leisure aid offered by CAF and MSA
Several MSA CAFs and Caisses distribute Aid called “leisure” – Sometimes called “Pass’loisirs”, “good leisure” or “leisure tickets” – in the form of checks to help finance the cultural, sporting or artistic activities of your child throughout the school year. There is also help called “LEVE TIME HELP“(ATL) paid directly by transfer, intended to cover the costs of reception in leisure centers on Wednesdays and school holidays.
The amount of these aid depends on the family quotient, the number of dependent children and varies according to CAF and MSA. For example, for the start of the 2025 school year, the Yvelines CAF offers up to 250 euros for families whose quotient is less than 300 euros, while for a quotient between 301 and 600 euros, the amount is around 200 euros. This ceiling is always limited to the cost of registration. To benefit from it, parents must constitute a file with their CAF or MSA. These aids are designed to lighten the loads of the most modest families, and it is advisable to check the specific methods directly with your local fund.
Ancv sports coupons
The National Agency for Vacances Checks (ANCV) offers Sport couponsvalid for 2 years, to pay the registration fees or sports courses of your children. Distributed by companies, town halls or communities, they are worth 10, 15 or 20 euros. From January 2026, these coupons can also be used for innovative sports activities, such as connected fitness or urban sports, to better follow the expectations of young people.
The aid Pass’Sport paid by the State
Set up in 2021, the Pass’sport is renewed for the 2025-2026 season. This financial assistance for registration in a sports club, however, changes audiences. It is now aimed at young people aged 14 to 17 benefiting from the back -to -school allowance (ARS), children and adolescents aged 6 to 19 with disabilities whose family perceives the AEEH, young people aged 16 to 30, as well as scholarship students under 28, helped by Crous. Previously, children benefiting from the ARS could take advantage of the system from 6 years old.
Activ+ coupons of CAF
The CAF renewed in 2025 the system of Activ+ couponsallocated to the end of the summer, to help modest families partially finance the extracurricular activities (sport, culture, leisure) of children aged 6 to 17. These vouchers are generally valid for three coupons of an identical amount, which can cover up to 80% of the total cost of the activity. This aid varies according to departmental CAF, both in its amount and in its award criteria. Requests are made via a specific form from your CAF, and it is essential to find out locally from July-August so as not to miss registrations.
In addition to national aid, various local communities – town halls, departments, regions – occasionally offer subsidies to encourage the practice of extra -curricular activities, especially in modest environments. These aids vary greatly depending on the territories: it is recommended to contact the municipal services or departmental councils to find out the systems in place near you. In addition, some companies also offer aid to their employees to finance the activities of their children. These aids, sometimes paid via the Social and Economic Committee (CSE), differ according to the companies. Remember to find out about your employer or staff associations, especially in the public service.
