Summer often rhymes with idleness, aperitifs and ice cream to taste by the sea … so many temptations it is difficult to resist. Hélène Lemaire, a nutritionist dietician, gives you her advice to please you without taking the slightest gram.
You have finally come to the end of your little extra pounds and now summer and its celebrations point to their nose. Hélène Lemaire, nutritionist and author of the book Heating healthy without diet At Prat editions, takes stock of summer temptations and gives you its tips to enjoy the small pleasures of sunny days without feeling guilty.
1. Prefer “plancha” evenings to barbecues
Less calorie and easy to prepare, Planchas and Pierrades will be your best allies this summer for a friendly and good meal for the silhouette. Prefer fish and white meats cut into strips as well as colored vegetables to accompany them: peppers, zucchini, mushrooms, tomatoes or carrots … This cooking mode is healthier, without cooked and above all faster material which allows you to keep all the essential nutrients.
2. Do not abuse raw vegetables
In excess, they can irritate your intestine and cause bloating. Incorporate cooked vegetables into your salads such as green beans, peppers or zucchini, very digestible gluten -free starchy foods such as quinoa, corn, millet and buckwheat but also lentils, chickpeas and potatoes that will satisfy you longer and avoid snacking.
3. Drink the vegetables and bite fruit
As an aperitif or in the afternoon, opt instead for a fresh vegetable juice (tomato, carrot, cucumber, beet, fennel with ginger or turmeric) draining, detoxifying and poor in sugars. Rich in antioxidants, it allows the skin to stay beautiful under the sun. The juices even 100% fruit tend to be too rich in sugars. And summer is the full season of fruit of all colors, so we even crunch them with the skin (if they are organic) to enjoy all the nutrients and fibers.
4. Rediscover the happiness of oils
Season your salad largely (and yes!) With 2 tablespoons of good virgin oils: olive of course but also coating, nuts, hemp, linen, camelin which contain omega 3 which help destock pounds.
5. Missing on craft ice cream
Do you want an ice cream? Do not deprive yourself but drop the so -called “light” sorbets. They are full of bad sugars that tend to give you even hungry. Rather, choose a good craft ice cream even creamy, it will be less sweet and will delight your taste buds more and longer.
6. Drink infused waters
Rather than falling into the trap of sweet sodas, add leaves of mint, verbena, linden but also cucumber, watermelon, citrus (organic if you leave the bark) and other fruits in your water to refresh yourself and quench your thirst.
7. Take your time
Above all, never forget the essential: chew, eat slowly without doing anything else, taste, savor, discover the taste pleasure of the first bites and stop when it disappeared. This is the only way to regulate your eating behavior and therefore your weight.
