Their method: send a fraudulent email en masse, without worrying about whether the person has really borrowed the highway in recent days. It doesn’t matter after all, because they bet on surprise and urgency. The subject of the message generally sets the tone immediately : “Last recall: balance of 6.80 euros unpaid to toll“. The sender even seems credible, since it is displayed as” Vinci payments management “.
Once this message is read, the victim is invited to “settle immediately” his invoice by clicking on a fraudulent link. This refers to a false site which takes up the same design as the Ulys platform. Everything is done to deceive the victim and encourage him to seize his bank details. If it does, the trap has then taken! Schools can then use your information to make purchases online, steal money or resell data on clandestine platforms. All, in a few minutes, without the victim realizing it.
