Why can she help you fall asleep? “There are several reasons”explains Dr. Kunal Sood on Instagram. “It contains tryptophan, a precursor of serotonin, which has a calming effect on your brain”. The preparation is also rich in good fats, slowing the absorption of carbohydrates, making it possible to stabilize blood sugar. “The reason why you sometimes wake up at night is because of the peak and the sudden fall in blood sugar”details the expert. This miracle ingredient, you guessed it, it is simply peanut butter. Long shunned for his calorie wealth, he has now regained his letters of nobility. Rich in vegetable proteins, fibers and good nutrients, it is a real nutritional ally, provided you choose it well. Favor the purest possible composition, where only the peanut appears in the ingredient list. These butters, often described as “natural”, are simply made from roasted and then crushed peanuts.

Conversely, many industrial versions contain superfluous ingredients that alter their nutritional qualities. Among the ingredients to be avoided, we find oils (especially palm oil), sugar, salt and additives.
