It could be real information and yet, in the majority of cases, this is the first index revealing a scam.
Notice to future adopters! This is the period of the year when hearts found in front of a ball of hair ready to join a family. However, while we dream of walks and games in the garden, crooks are active in the shade and post ads too beautiful to be real. These frauds are generally well established: false photos, false notebooks, false siren numbers or puppies that seem to emerge from nowhere. Transactions are linked until the money is leaving and the puppy … is not found.
Indeed, some signs must immediately put the chip in the ear to future masters. A price too low compared to the market. The impossibility of seeing the animal. The requirement of a payment before any meeting. Or the use of opaque means such as “prepaid cash services” cards. Other scams play on the emotional dimension with puppies “to give” suddenly, touching family stories. Everything is done to create attachment even before you cannot ask a question.
In addition, specialized platforms and associations such as four legs alert even more devious methods: puppies announced before they even exist, pretended breeders who suddenly change address or contact number or crazy photos to hide the imposture. These crooks exploit the passion and an emergency of adoption, by playing on the good faith of the buyers. In this sense, the mention “Ready to leave today”, launched as an urgent sale argument, without context or reasonable delay, is one of the most used scam tactics to make buyers crack.
So how can we avoid falling into the trap? Before giving in to emotion, check the legitimacy of the ad: a professional breeder must be able to provide a SIREN or range number, as well as identification documents (chip or tattoo) and up -to -date vaccines of each puppy. Everything that is missing or seems too vague should put you on alert immediately.
