Art makes the invisible visible, therefore it is “profession” similar to faith. The artist – profitable is believed or not – driven by an intuition that transcends the tangiblehe tries to give shape to an idea, to an emotion, to a beauty that exists “inside” him or in a world of ideas not yet expressed.

This process is comparable to an act of faith: it is believed in something that is not yet seen and works to bring it to light. The final result (a picture, a sculpture, a poem) is the “form” given to this intuition, but the essence, the original inspiration, remains in a certain sense invisible, perceptible only through the sign left by the artist.

In the case of a talent scout like Pippo Baudo, his “aesthetic sensitivity” manifests himself as a form of discernment, almost a spiritual sense. It is not simply a question of recognizing a beautiful voice or a scenic presence, but of perceiving latent potentialthe invisible essence of an artist still unexpressed. This is an act of faith: Baudo “saw” in singers like Giorgia or Andrea Bocelli not only what they were at that moment, but what they could become. His ability to give them a stage was the concrete action that gave shape to this vision.

This process is divided into various steps:

* Intelligence of discernment: Baudo had a profound knowledge of performative art. He knew how to recognize not only the technique, but also the truth and authenticity that an artist brought with him. This discernment went beyond the technical judgment, was a ability to “feel” the unique spark.

* Spiritual sense: Refers to the ability to perceive the deepest and non -tangible part of art. It is the ability to connect with the soul of a performance, to perceive the promise of beauty that hides beyond the surface. It is an intuitive and not purely rational gesture.

* From invisible to form: in this sense, Baudo’s gesture is a creative and almost “artistic” act in turn. He not only offered a platform, but contributed to modeling the art of those he discovered as talented, offering advice, choosing the right songs and creating the context that allowed their talent to flourish.

His “form” was the television program, the stage, which made the talent visible that he had previously sensed. Yes, it is an act of intuition, discernment and trust in what is not yet seen. It is a gesture that has its root in the ability to perceive the invisible and, with sensitivity and intelligence, to help him manifest himself in the world. Also on this way it gives (consciously or not) testimony to faith as a contemplative vision of life.

Thanks Pippo.
