Replacing bread without losing taste or satiety is the eternal puzzle of those who watch their line. The famous health professional then reveals the most unbeatable slimming option in this area.
Many products stamped “slimming” promise mountains and wonders, but there are few who really hold the road. The nutritionist Jean-Michel Cohen recently shared on his social networks a discovery which he deems particularly convincing.
In a video posted on Instagram, he launched the discussion with a question that intrigues: “Good Slimming option or not really? I give you my opinion!”. Facing camera, he had fun dissecting a product that is easily found in supermarkets, often stored next to grilled breads or rusks. From the outset, he specifies that this is not yet another miracle food, but a alternative that deserves to dwell on it. His approach is simple: read the label, examine the calorie value, scrutinize the composition and compare with other products from the same family.
He begins by recalling that the product in question is made from full rye. “It’s not uninteresting. The rye is a cereal that interests me”he underlines, insisting that this base immediately seems to him more nutritious than the refined wheat used in most white breads. The next step is to take a magnifying glass the energy density: “Wow! It’s the lowest: 338 calories. And for each (unit), we are 30 calories”. The observation is clear: portion by portion, the caloric impact remains minimal, which makes it possible to consume several without weighing down your daily contribution. He also recommends taking three or four from breakfast, without guilt.
Another essential point in his analysis: sugar. “Are there sugars inside? Well yes, there are 2 grams of sugars for 100 grams, it’s the least sweet of all.” The comparison plays in favor of this product, which stands out for a very low rate, especially if it is put in parallel with other industrial breads often enriched with added sugar. Then comes the fiber shutter, and there again, the surprise is positive: “Waouh! 20 grams of fiber for 100 grams. It is a hyper fibrous product which does not contain sugar and which has a very low caloric value”. For a nutritionist, such a level of fiber is not trivial: they promote satiety, regulate transit and contribute to a better metabolic balance.
His verdict: “Wasa very interesting”. He continues: “We like it or we don’t like it, these are light wasa, but frankly beautiful product”. Clearly, the crisp wass with the full flour of rye, in its light version, stands out and rises like the most credible slimming alternative to traditional bread according to the nutritionist.
No suspect additives, no hydrogenated fats or long series of incomprehensible ingredients. The simplicity of the recipe, including rye flour and salt, plays in favor of the product, which thus checks several boxes sought by those who fight against the extra pounds.
