From October 1, October Rose invites us to wear the famous pink ribbon against breast cancer and make a donation to support research. It’s also time to be tested.
For more than 30 years, October Rose has been working for the fight against breast cancer from October 1 to 31. In France, 1 in 8 women risk developing breast cancer during her life. What is pink October?
Since 1994, October Rose has been an annual French campaign to raise awareness of breast cancer screening, led by the Ruban Ribbon association. Throughout the month of October, it organizes various events, such as races and collections, to raise funds intended for research and support for patients. Free or reduced prices are also offered in France. Symbolically, famous monuments worldwide, including the Eiffel Tower, light up in pink to support the cause.
When does the pink October 2025 race take place?
The Parisian edition of the Odysséa 2025 race will be held on Saturday October 4 and Sunday 5 October at the Château de Vincennes, in the Bois de Vincennes. The program is varied for all participants: Saturday is dedicated to solidarity with Zumba, the children’s race “I run for mom” and the 5 km non -timed events (walking or duet), while Sunday offers a timed 10 km race and 5 km free events (race and walking). To participate, registration is online and it is important to note that the deadline is set for Friday August 29, without the possibility of registration on site. How to have the pink ribbon against breast cancer?

Each year, many initiatives are set up, throughout the month of October (pink October), to inform and raise awareness of women about the importance of early screening.
