In 2050, when the thermometer displayed 40 degrees in Paris, it will “only” 32 degrees in Brittany. A difference of 8 degrees which is not negligible! It is therefore the city of Brest which is considered the most pleasant place in the event of a heat wave, but Rennes, designated as one of the greenest cities in France, and the other municipalities in Brittany are also acclaimed.
Other places will be clearly pleasant during periods of heat, according to the AEE, such as the city of Lyon, which also has the ambition to reach carbon neutrality in 2030 and which was the first big French city to identify its free accessible places.
