When the potential is there, all it takes is a little budget and a few good ideas to exploit it. This was the case in this Haussmannian apartment, whose living rooms, as at night, were all asleep.
Heading for the 16th arrondissement of Paris, facing the Eiffel Tower. It is here that an American architect made her dream come true: acquiring and renovating a large Haussmann-style apartment. After several months of work, the place was completely redesigned to fit its precise vision. The original volumes have regained their shine thanks to herringbone parquet flooring, moldings, wooded bases and marbled fireplaces. So many classic codes elegantly highlighted. On the decor side, white and black are essential, carried by a graphic spirit present in the paintings as in the textiles. Result: a chic, contemporary and quite spectacular interior. The highlight of this high-end project, inspiring and worthy of the most beautiful Parisian interiors? A breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower, no less!
In this large apartment which had four rooms, the third bedroom was going to undergo quite a facelift. Remaining in its original state, it illustrated everything that was most classic and was just waiting to be renovated. There were the characteristics dear to the Haussmann style: marble fireplace, parquet floors and moldings.
This renovation project stands out for its high standards: no room has escaped the rule and refinement reigns supreme here. All the rooms in T5 bear witness to this, with the added bonus of a balcony with balusters. In this one, the graphic lines intertwine and dare a touch of eccentricity with these few golden elements, which interact with touches of deep black. A beautiful way to highlight the frame of the marble fireplace, as well as its hearth. Arranged at the head of the bed, the graphic wallpaper brings movement and integrates perfectly with the whole.
This project illustrates to what extent the combination of respect for Haussmannian codes and a contemporary touch can transform a place into an exceptional interior. Between elegance, comfort and audacity, this renovation is a real success, enhanced by a unique view in the capital.
