Eve could no longer see her painted water feature. With her husband, she has made it a joyful cocoon with a British spirit that we invite you to discover. There are a whole bunch of ideas at stake.
When Ève Caudy-Prudhon, from the account @ma_maison_mi_casa_ on Instagram, buys her beautiful small farm or small farm, from 1919, everything has to be (re)done. So yes, the charm is there, but style and functionality are missing. Passionate about decoration and DIY, this psychiatric nurse and china ace gives free rein to her imagination. Result ? A house that resembles him, where a happy, organized mess reigns.
On the water feature side, there was also work. The space lacked light, the dark tiles and dated glass blocks didn’t help matters, and the room seemed too narrow to be practical for everyday use. Ève and her husband waited six years – the time to put together the budget – and a short month of work later – but six months of reflection before embarking on the renovation – their new bathroom was born. And nothing was left to chance.
If the original bathtub was originally supposed to be replaced by a shower, which took up less space, it was ultimately a retro bathtub (Le Monde du Bain) which won this fight. Undisputed star of the room, floral wallpaper Multicolored pink garden party from Rifle Paper Co. (at Wallpaper Direct) imposes its old-fashioned style, a bit outdated, but so joyful! A few moldings and an Orac rosette complete this charming atmosphere. Like the bath mat and checkered curtains, the storage is by IKEA with a largely personalized Billy bookcase.
