With a lock in front of her eyes and a side parting, Rihanna opted for a hairstyle that echoes the 2010s on the red carpet of the CFDA Fashion Awards 2025. The proof in the photo.
It was more than ten years after her last appearance at the CFDA Fashion Awards that Rihanna made her comeback on the New York red carpet. Coming to support A$AP Rocky, honored with the Fashion Icon Award, the singer once again attracted all eyes thanks to a hair detail that did not escape the beautystas.
For this notable appearance, Rihanna opted for an asymmetrical cut reminiscent of her period Unapologetic. On the program? A long side strand that swept across half of her face in a very “2010s” style as well as slightly open sides and a pronounced part on the left side of her face. This way of styling your hair, mixing glamor and rock, seems straight out of one of the RnB icon’s old music videos. The only difference is in the length of her hair since her hair was not cut short but simply tied back in a low ponytail. The choice of jet black coloring also reinforces the slight air of déjà vu for early fans.
Rihanna did not settle for an iconic hairstyle echoing her debut but she took the transformation even further by sporting vintage makeup. Her lips were highlighted with a deep brown outline, contrasting with a transparent lip gloss, while her eyes were adorned with shimmering shadow and a pair of false eyelashes which intensified her look.
Her complexion, impeccably crafted, revealed a good dose of bronzer on her forehead and pink blush on her cheekbones. To complete her beauty look, the 37-year-old Barbadian artist wore a look that was as casual as it was chic: a turtleneck slipped under a navy blue trench coat. Very pretty!
