Duchess Sophie of Edinburgh once again proved her elegance and taste for style during the Christmas mass.
It is the most important event of the end of the year for the British royal family: the traditional Christmas mass took place this Thursday, December 25 at Sandringham. Among the many members present, Sophie from Edinburgh was able to capture all eyes with a silhouette that was both classic and sophisticated.
While she was photographed alongside her two children, Lady Louise and James of Wessex, the almost 61-year-old duchess stood out in a total houndstooth look. She appeared smiling wearing a long, ankle-length coat, perfectly structured and printed with a checkered pattern in a red, blue and beige version. This piece, a timeless piece of women’s wardrobe, was embellished with a tone-on-tone belt to tighten the waist as well as a contrasting burgundy-colored edging. An elegant model to which Sophie from Edinburgh had added a headgear matching the original shape, placed on her free hair. Its particularity? It looked like a beret from the front and had an opening revealing his skull on top. All tied with a large velvet bow.
To complete this monochrome look, Prince Edward’s wife opted for a string of burgundy accessories: a scarf tucked inside the coat, a clutch, a pair of leather gloves and pointy pumps with a stiletto heel.
She also carried bouquets of flowers in her hands to bring a touch of freshness to the whole. Always superb, she chose to leave no detail to chance for maximum chic.
A fashion choice that suits the 60-year-old British woman perfectly. Enough to once again confirm its status as an icon of discreet royal chic.
