While she recently made her big return to the stage, Valérie Lemercier revealed one of her greatest sources of inspiration: social networks. She spends most of her time there… incognito!
Ten years: that’s the number of years that Valérie Lemercier will have spent away from the stage! Back in the spotlight since the end of last year, the 61-year-old actress and director first set up shop at the Marigny theater, before taking over the Olympia for a few dates.
Valérie Lemercier presents on Instagram: “This is how I see…“
On this occasion, the one who won three Molières of the one-man-show accepted the invitation of Mouloud Achour in Click on Canal +. Valérie Lemercier willingly recounted what she had done in her years spent away from the stage and also detailed her close relationship with social networks, a theme that she addresses in her show where she connects the characters. The actress is very active on Instagram but she doesn’t show it. And for good reason, she is hiding! “Are you watching stories hidden?“, asked the presenter.
To which Valérie Lemercier responded straight away, as if it were self-evident! “Obviously, yes. That’s how I see mothers who say to their daughters: “Thalis, my love, I’ve been lucky enough to be your mother for ten years now. You are the most beautiful I have ever met…”she then added in reference to a passage from her show.
Valérie Lemercier “aware of everyone’s schedule”
And Mouloud Achour to question the star ofAline : “It’s not even under the name Valérie Lemercier? Do you have another alias to look at everyone’s lives?”. “Yes, obviously, in secret”retorted Valérie Lemercier. Before completing: “I know who goes on vacation with who. I know who got their nails done. For example, Barbara Streisand gets her nails done every Tuesday. I know a little bit about everyone’s schedule.”
However, the one we saw at the cinema last year in the film Let’s love each other alive is not envious of the lives of others and she too does not wish to travel to the other side of the world and live the high life to flaunt it on the networks. “That’s enough for me, I’m in a swimsuit at home, I don’t get sunburned. They do. They damage their skin, and I watch (…) I live vicariously”, she added.
