Returning to France after a two-year American escapade, actress Marine Delterme is multiplying her projects. And, as soon as she has a little free time, she goes to the house in Normandy where she lives with her husband, Florian Zeller.
For 20 years, she embodied Alice Neversin the successful TF1 series. Returning from the United States after a short period there, Marine Delterme will share the stage on January 27 with Patrick Bruel, in the play Part two. Asked by Galashe spoke about her current life, which she leads between Paris and Normandy.
Marine Delterme and Florian Zeller based in Normandy: “We like to create beautiful places together”
After two years spent together in sunny Los Angeles, California, the lovebirds finally returned home, living between Paris and Honfleur (in Normandy) where they own a house. “We have a large garden and, on our wedding list, there were trees. We plant, we try to make this garden ever more wonderful. We like to create beautiful places together. It nourishes our bond”Marine Delterme told the magazine.
“I had left behind a life that I missed: a son, elderly parents for whom I feel all the more responsible because I am an only child, my friends, a city with people in the streets”she admitted, to justify her return to France. Before concluding: “In Los Angeles, the streets are empty. I who, before leaving, was locked in a work bubble, now I want to go out, to meet people I don’t know.”
The secrets of Marine Delterme, in a relationship for 22 years
The 57-year-old actress is therefore a woman fulfilled in her career, but also in her personal life. Married to the writer and director Florian Zeller, she has shared her life with him for two decades already. A couple that lasts, of which she agreed to reveal the secrets of longevity : “Don’t always ask for accounts for everything, know how to be a little close but without forcing the other to share everything (…) My husband is a writer, he has worlds where we don’t enter and family life is demanding for someone who needs concentration.”
Marine Delterme, mother of two boys – Gabriel, born from her love affair with the Swiss actor Jean-Philippe Écoffey, and Roman, fruit of her relationship with Florian Zeller -, assured that she is still in love despite the passage of time: “Afterwards, he is an extraordinary enough man that I want to fight to keep him, that I want to take steps and build things with him. We have the souls of builders, in the literal sense.”
