Where is Mirra Andreeva from?
If no flag is displayed next to her name on the on-screen banner during a match, it’s because Mirra Andreeva is Russian. However, Russian sports federations were internationally banned following the invasion of Ukraine. The sportswoman was born on April 29, 2007 in Krasnoyarsk (in eastern Siberia).
Asked at a press conference at Roland-Garros about the war against Ukraine and tensions with other players, Mirra Andreeva said: “No matter who I play against, I play a ball first and foremost. It doesn’t matter who the opponent is for me, I try to concentrate on the game and on the game plan that I have to implement on the court.“
Where does Mirra Andreeva live?
Mirra Andreeva lived for a few years in Sochi and Moscow after her family moved in order to benefit from better structures for her sporting career but, in 2022, she settled down in France. In fact, the tennis player joined the Elite Tennis Center to train there. And the club’s manager, Jean-René Lisnard, spoke of his skills to RMC Sport.
“It is part of what I call sponge projects. Like Daniil Medvedev, Varvara Gracheva or others, they absorb advice more quickly. She’s a huge competitor as well. She wants to win like all great champions. Sometimes they play badly but will still find a way to win the match, they have that in them.”
What do we know about Mirra Andreeva’s personal life?
Mirra Andreeva is the daughter of Raisa and Aleksandr. She has an older sister, Erika Andreeva (born in 2004), also a tennis player, who was notably a finalist at Roland-Garros Junior in 2021. On the other hand, Mirra remains very secretive about her love life and, to date, we do not know of her partner.

Since her professional debut, the young 1.75 meter player, coached by former Spanish champion Conchita Martinez, has accumulated $9.6 million in tournament winnings. If she wins the final of Roland-Garros 2026, against the Polish Maja Chwalińska, she will leave with a nice check for 2.8 million euros (and 1.4 million in the event of defeat).
