Sami El Gueddari has built a solid track record in the world of Paralympic swimming. In 2005, he finished 3rd at the Mediterranean Games in Almeria, in the S9 handicap category in the 100m freestyle. In 2008, he was a finalist in the 50m freestyle at the Beijing Paralympic Games. It was at the French Summer Championships in Chambéry in 2009 that he shone and won the gold medal in the 50m and 100m freestyle.
