Since the end of July, buyers can benefit from the zero-rate loan (PTZ) in more than 600 additional cities. Find out which ones.
Last March, the government announced a nice boost for property buyers. Residents of more than 600 additional municipalities have in fact become eligible for the zero-rate loan (PTZ) since July 26. As a reminder, the zero-rate loan (PTZ) is an interest-free loan to repay, which allows first-time buyers to finance up to 50% of their first purchase of a new apartment. Beneficiaries can save, thanks to this scheme, up to several tens of thousands of euros in interest to repay.
To do this, the executive had to change the status of these municipalities, by modifying a zoning. This territorial division makes it possible to classify municipalities according to the level of “tension” on their real estate market. To put it simply, zones Abis, A and B1 are considered by the government as “tense“, where the demand for housing is much higher than the supply. This allows its residents to benefit from various advantages or arrangements, such as eligibility for a zero-rate loan.
More than 800 municipalities change status
A decree details the municipalities affected by the zoning change. 865 municipalities are thus affected. And among them, 688 leave zones B2 or C, to integrate one of the three zonings (A, Abis or B1) making their inhabitants eligible for the PTZ. Here is the detailed list of municipalities that have changed rating.
Furthermore, this reclassification will allow municipalities to build new buildings housing intermediate rental housing (LLI). These housing units, even if their rents are higher than social housing, remain 10% to 15% cheaper than the rents of the private rental stock. These accommodations are intended for example for employees, young workers and civil servants and other key workers. They can also be leased by private companies or public bodies to accommodate their workers.“, describes the Ministry of Ecological Transition.
