Chanel unveils the new face of its N°5 perfume. An inspiring personality who is none other than Margot Robbie.
It’s a new era that is opening for Chanel’s N°5 perfume. This September, the French House announces the arrival of Margot Robbie to embody its legendary perfume.
At 34, the actress and Australian producer has already been present in the House since 2018. She has also already been the face of the perfume Gabrielle Chanel Essence. Revealed in The Wolf of Wall Street Martin Scorsese’s 2013 film, she continues to impress with her talent. Her latest role, that of Barbie (2023) directed by Greta Gerwig, is proof of this, with more than 5 million admissions. Other roles contributed to her success, such as that of Sharon Tate in Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood (2019) by Quentin Tarantino, by Nellie LaRoy in Babylon (2022) by Damien Chazelle and many more! Launched in 1921, Chanel’s N°5 needs no introduction, as it has revolutionized the world of perfumes. Many iconic personalities have embodied this fragrance, such as Catherine Deneuve (1973), Nicole Kidman (2012), Gisele Bündchen (2014) and Marion Cotillard (2020). Today, it’s Margot Robbie’s turn to take over. “CHANEL N°5 is one of the most iconic fragrances in the world. There is an impressive lineage of talent that has been associated with this fragrance over the years. It’s incredible to be a part of it today. So I am very, very honored to join this long list of amazing talent.”attests the actress of I, Tonya. Clearly, Chanel has not finished surprising us. While great actresses have embodied the No. 5 in front of the camera, famous directors have also made history by directing memorable campaigns. Among them, two French directors: Luc Besson, who reinterpreted Little Red Riding Hood in 1998, and Jean-Pierre Jeunet, who transported us on a night train in 2009.
So what does the new campaign for No. 5 have in store for us? We’ll have to be patient a little longer, as it won’t be revealed until October. One thing is for sure: with Margot Robbie as the headliner, it already promises to leave us speechless.
