Theology goes to the parish. In Nettuno, in the church of Sant’Anna, and in Ariccia, in the one dedicated to Santa Maria Assunta in cielo, by will of the bishop of Albano, Monsignor Vincenzo Viva, the first year courses restart while the second year courses continue at the School of Theological Formation named after Cardinal Ludovico Altieri, former bishop of the diocese from 1860 to 1867. «This school», explains Nicola Parisi (pictured at the table), who is its director, «is born from a synodal context. In the process that the CEI asked us to take, the idea of a formation for the laity came up. A need that came from below to help the thirst for theological knowledge that the faithful have». Therefore a sort of «subsidy to the outskirts, closely linked to the territory. After a sort of experimentum in Anzio, at the vicar level, seeing the great demand, we wanted to extend the experience». From about seventy members we went to 170. «A boom in registrations that spurred us to improve even more», adds Parisi, who boasts studies in Naples, Jerusalem and Rome where, at the University of San Tommaso D’Aquino, he obtained a doctorate in Biblical Theology. «With the Nettuno and Ariccia locations we are able to reach both the seaside and the hilly areas». The 22 teachers, including the parish priest of Sant’Anna, Don Luca De Donatis (pictured standing)who will teach Theological Anthropology and Virtue, Don Felipe Brito, who is entrusted with the course of Christology and Trinitarian Theology, Laura Paladino, collaborator of Famiglia Cristiana, who will address the lessons of Synoptic Gospels and Acts of the Apostles, will alternate in the four modules (each of two lessons of 90 minutes) that will start on October 4 in Nettuno and on the 5th in Ariccia. At the Nettuno location the appointment is for Friday from 6 to 9.10 pm, while at the other location on Saturday from 3.30 to 6.40 pm. «Theological formation», explains the parish priest of Santa Maria Assunta in cielo, Don Antonio Salimbeni, «is a true apostolate, a commitment, both for those who offer the lessons and for those who follow them». In order not to be superficial Christians and to increasingly link, as Don De Donatis also underlines, «faith and life».
