How are real estate agents doing this fall, which marks the sad second anniversary of an unprecedented sector crisis? Not so bad, according to the latest quarterly survey published last month by the real estate agency search engine Superimmo. Carried out among a thousand professionals, this survey shows a 10-point surge, compared to June, in the morale of real estate agents, with more than two thirds of them saying they optimistic for the French market. There is also optimism at their own level, with 68.3% of respondents having confidence in the future of their agency. That’s an increase of 10 points, again, compared to June.
This improvement can be attributed to real estate loan rates which, after having quadrupled between the beginning of 2022 and the beginning of 2024, have fallen back to 3.40% on average over 20 yearsat the beginning of November, continuing the decline initiated since the start of the year. With sales prices also trending downward, this is enough to encourage a growing number of candidates for property ownership to push through the doors of real estate agencies in order to visit this showcase property which is absolutely their favorite.
