A brand new family attraction, in the colors of Obélix, will soon be inaugurated…
Parc Astérix innovates every year to surprise its 2.8 million annual visitors. In 2023, it is the sensation attraction Toutatis which was unanimously acclaimed with its fastest and highest roller coaster in France, and last May, young and old could discover “the Tour de Numerobis”, high chairs perched 48 meters high. So, what does the park have in store for us for the winter season?
This time, it is in the world of Gaul that a new attraction will see the light of day at the beginning of December. This is a new experience intended for the whole family (including the little ones), featuring Obélix! Something to delight fans of René Goscinny’s comic strips and designer Albert Uderzo. Visitors will be able to equip themselves with a buoy bearing the colors of Obélix and slide down the slope of Mont Gaulois at full speed on a slide on artificial ice. The snowy attraction is called “La Glissade d’Obélix” and promises laughter with the family. This new icy winter sport is the world’s first sliding event. So, are you ready to defend the colors of Gaul?
If you plan to go with your family to Parc Astérix for the end of year celebrations, you will also have the opportunity to discover an enchanted light trail “the wonderful gardens of Santa Claus” with butterflies, lanterns, snowmen snow, animals or even luminous fir trees. All the characters will also be there during the great Gallic Christmas Parade and the aisles of the Christmas market are expanding to accommodate even more gourmet flavors. Like every year, Santa’s toy factory has 4 toboggan runs and two ice rinks for even more sliding!
