When he decides to take it easy, Christophe Michalak can enjoy the softness and charm of his apartment, located in a corner well known to the French.
Guest by Frédéric Lopez on his Sunday show A Sunday in the countryside. alongside actress Sandrine Bonnaire and singer Emmanuel Moire, the famous pastry chef Christophe Michalak was promoting his new work, Welcome home. And, regarding house, do you know where he lives?
Where do Christophe Michalak and his wife live?
When he is not in one of his many boutiques in Paris or Japan, it is at home that the 51-year-old chef likes to meet. A few years ago, he and his wife, the photographer Delphine McCarty, whom he married ten years ago, set down their suitcases in the heart of the capital, precisely in the lively Montmartre district. Since then, they have spent happy days in this corner of Paris – where the comedian Jeanfi Janssens also lives – with their family made up of Victor, their son, and Darius Michaud, the eldest son of Delphine McCarty, now aged 20 years.
A few years ago, the chef agreed to open the doors of their cocoon to House side. What is it like inside the walls of this apartment? Wood, bricks and Scandinavian-inspired decoration. Very bright, the property has a large bay window opening onto a garden – small but which has the merit of existing in the heart of Paris -, and a huge library, the centerpiece of the apartment after the kitchen… Of course!
Christophe Michalak’s other haven of peace in the sun
“I moved to Montmartre out of love for my wife who loves this area, and I must say that I really like living there”he declared Christophe Michalak in the columns of the magazine. And it’s up to him to complete: “My wife and I live on the ground floor of a small building with a garden not overlooked. It was a former architect who lived here, he had opened the apartment with a large bay window – a chance because light is very important for us”.
And if the Michalaks seem to have found happiness in Montmartre, the couple also recently treated themselves to a house in Provence, in Maussane-les-Alpilles, a small village of 2,000 inhabitants with which the chef fell in love according to a report broadcast by France 3 PACA.
