Changing regulations and public subsidies that are not always clear to understand: the energy renovation of housing is slipping. France still has 6.6 million homes (including 4.8 million primary residences) considered to be thermal sieves, that is to say whose energy performance diagnosis (DPE) rating is F or G. volume which is not ready to fall since in 2023, the public subsidy system MaPrimeRenov’ has not achieved its objectives. It made it possible to carry out only 71,613 overall renovations – the most ambitious works -, or 10 times less than the 700,000 per year planned under the National Low-Carbon Strategy (SNBC).
One of the reasons for this failure: the lack of information from households. In a survey carried out among 3,000 households in December 2023, the National Housing Agency (Anah), responsible for the distribution of MaPrimeRénov’, noted that 69% of respondents consider access to information complicated. A problem which could soon be resolved with the current development of a new aid simulator, piloted in particular by Anah and the general secretariat for ecological planning: “MesAidesReno”.
MaPrimeRénov, CEE or Normandy
The “beta” version (the test version) of this aggregator, launched this spring, allows, “in just 5 minutes”to check your eligibility for all existing aid, as well as their amounts: MaPrimeRénov’, energy savings certificates, the renovation advance loan, but also the Denormandie system (for real estate investors), the eco-loan at zero rate and the possible exemption from property tax introduced in 450 French cities.
“We are working to integrate local aid from municipalities, intercommunities and departments. And we will do it in real time to clarify whether the budget for this aid has already been completely used up.specifies Maxime Amieux, responsible for developing partnerships for MesAidesReno. The average cost of work by region – craftsmen’s prices vary – will also be added. Already connected to the Ouest-France real estate site, MesAidesReno will soon be connected to major real estate ad sites, but also available to certain banking establishments.
No personal data collected
To find out the aid to which you are entitled, simply fill in some information such as your status – owner or tenant -, the use of the accommodation – main or secondary residence -, its surface area, its age, your income or even the composition of the household. “We do not ask for any cookies, phone numbers or email addresses to provide resultscontinues Maxime Amieux. This helps build household confidence.” This simulator will eventually merge with that of France Rénov’, the public energy renovation service of Anah, so that the latter becomes exhaustive.
If the household wishes to continue its energy renovation project, it is then put in contact with a France Rénov advisor, in order to organize a telephone or physical meeting in one of the 650 advice areas in France.
