Anne-Sophie Lapix has presented the France 2 news since 2017, and she has always managed to combine private and public life. What do we know about his daily life outside of television sets?
Anne-Sophie Lapix has been at the head of the 8 p.m. news on France 2 since 2017. But does she plan to bow out in the near future? In any case, the journalist manages perfectly to combine professional and private life, as she confided to TV Magazine…
Anne-Sophie Lapix and her family life: “I’m becoming a stay-at-home mother again”
In a relationship with the boss of Publicis, Arthur Sadoun – who was affected by tonsil cancer -, the presenter of the France 2 news is the mother of two boys, born in 2003 and 2005 from a former relationship. Despite her busy schedule, Anne-Sophie Lapix, who lives in a private mansion – targeted by burglars – in the chic 16th arrondissement of Paris and has a second home in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, manages to find time to her and for those close to her, every day.
“I unplug on weekends, I become a stay-at-home mom again. I play sports, I go to the cinema, I get some fresh air, I have lunch with friends. During the week, it’s harder to break away from the news, but I still manage to have dinner with my children, who are kind enough to wait for my return“, she explained to TV Magazine.
Building on her brilliant career, the journalist and supposed bête noire of politicians makes sure to remind her children to always try their luck: “It’s not really my style to give advice. When my children ask me, I especially encourage them to create opportunities, I repeat to them that nothing is going to happen out of nowhere.“.
Will Anne-Sophie Lapix stop the news?
Does Anne-Sophie Lapix intend to change her life and leave presenting the France 2 television news? “At the beginning, I said that I often stay in a job for five years. And there… It’s my eighth year and I’m still passionate about what I do.”she explained. For the moment, the 52-year-old journalist has not set a deadline. She prefers to trust her instincts, but is well aware that everything can change overnight.
“We know we are weakened even before taking the job. Before me, there was David Pujadas and, every year, certain rumors announced his departure. You have to accept this game. And then, sometimes, I speak to management and I leave reassured until the day I’m asked to leave and it won’t be a problem“, she assured, prepared for all eventualities.
