Need a boost? Here is valuable detox advice from a nutritionist to avoid dragging your feet.
The month of January seems endless: the cold, the short days, the desire to stay at home… Moreover, the most depressing day of the year (the famous Blue Monday, which translates to Blue Monday) falls on Monday January 20. To get through this period, there’s nothing better than a little detox to get back on your feet.
Raphaël Gruman, dietitian-nutritionist in Paris, reveals his method for recharging our batteries. Why adopt it? It is quick, simple, and very economical. Its benefits are numerous: it cleanses your body, improves digestion, helps you lose weight (if this is a goal), promotes concentration, and beautifies your skin. The trick is this: “I drink 2 liters of water during the day”the expert tells us. “I increase my consumption throughout the day, alternating with glasses of water and tea or herbal teas”he specifies.
As a reminder, two liters of water represents eight glasses per day. Are you having trouble achieving this goal? Don’t hesitate to buy a pretty bottle to keep close to you. Of course, the effort is the same, but it may encourage you to hydrate more often.
Regarding herbal teas and teas, choose flavors that you like. In addition, they are very comforting drinks during low temperatures.
Finally, for optimal energy, Raphaël Gruman also recommends preparing a detox juice as soon as you wake up with ½ lemon, a pinch of ginger and turmeric powder. All mixed with water. But also to practice intermittent fasting. This last point involves skipping the evening meal, in order to fast for 16 hours (of course, you are encouraged to drink water during this time). We wish you good luck for the rest of this month. Be patient, spring is coming soon!
