The first time the bubbly blonde laid eyes on the singer, he was far from looking his best. The interpreter of Do like the bird had just entered a piano bar in Île-Rousse where she was performing but, devastated by the loss of his daughter, he carried the weight of the world on his shoulders.
“When I saw him for the first time, he was so skinny… He was wearing a cap, had lost his hair, I thought he was sick, I didn’t know about his daughter yet“, Sanda recently told in Gala. At his worst, Michel Fugain finally rediscovered the taste for life thanks to his meeting with the singer from Romania, who was first his friend before becoming his companion, then his wife in 2014.
