To celebrate the anniversary of Twenty years from the disappearance of Mario Luzi (2005 – 2025), Milan pays homage to the illustrious poet, among the greatest Italian authors of the twentieth century, with a cultural and artistic program in the suggestive setting of the place symbol of the city in the world: the Cathedral.
“Towards Luzi. From man to the cathedral” It is an initiative that, on February 28, on the exact anniversary day, and from 3 to 7 March 2025, from 18.30 to about 19.30, will bring under the times of the Milan Cathedral six special moments of listening and reflection around the poetic work And literary of Luzi, through the reading of a selection of texts and some musical moments.
The project, on the initiative of the archpriest of the cathedral Monsignor Gianantonio Borgonovofrom the Veneranda factory and the metropolitan chapter, is entrusted to the artistic direction of the actor and director Massimiliano Finazzer Flory.
The majesty and sacredness of the cathedral represent the ideal background for a tribute that aims to honor not only the memory of Mario Luzi, but also to celebrate the eternal power of the poetic word as a tool for spiritual and intellectual elevation. THEThe readings program, entrusted to the interpretation of Finazzer Flory, will be a journey through the most significant works of the Florentine poetexploring the themes of spirituality, nature and human existence, which have characterized its vast literary production.
Each evening will focus on a specific theme, allowing spectators to completely immerse themselves in the poetic universe of Luzi.
The initiative also provides for moments of dialogue and reflection with experts from the academic and cultural panorama, who will offer insights and reading keys to fully understand the poetics Luziana.
Among these, the inaugural evening of February 28, entitled “Self -portrait” for a portrait of Mario Luzi, will be open by the intervention of the journalist and writer Armando Torno, while the final reflection of March 7, entitled The “word” Risted by Luzi’s poetics he will be entrusted to Monsignor Borgonovo.
