Thanks to the architects of the Castille studio, the kitchen of this apartment which was in a pitiful state is only a distant memory. Zoom on the metamorphosis of this space, now user -friendly and well thought out!
In a state close to unsanitary conditions, this 45 m² located in Joinville-le-Pont was completely transformed by the Castille studio. Despite a catastrophic DPE and not very functional volumes, the new owners, a couple of Olympic champions athletes, immediately perceived the potential of the place. They entrusted the project to Mathilde Abeel, architect and co-founder of the Castille studio, who remembers: “Accessible, attentive, available and therefore for everything, even if it means adapting the budget, they were really the dream customers!”. Four months of work were necessary to review everything: insulation, electricity, plumbing, and rearrangement of spaces, while retaining the location of the entrance, cabinets and kitchen, in bad shape. The result? A bright and functional apartment, where the rounded lines dominate and the tailor-made storage optimizes each square meter. All in a minimalist and timeless style, perfect for seducing future tenants.
Initially partitioned, the original kitchen was more than old -fashioned and could not decently be preserved as it is. In order to open it on the living room, the Castille studio has reversed bedroom and living room, creating a more fluid space.

Perfectly integrated into the living room, the new kitchen consists of IKEA boxes enhanced with painted medium facades. High furniture, painted white (chromatic), contrast with the low elements dressed in matt beige, they form a harmonious duo. Practical tip: a large refrigerator was discreetly integrated behind the toilets, all right. The floor tiles follows the rounding of space, subtly delimiting the area. The owner’s favorite, an enthusiast of Deco Architect in the making, the Valerie Objects apply, which lights up the work plan in white laminate. Supported by a column dressed in painted cleats, the new central island brings a sophisticated touch and creates a dining area with rare elegance.
Above the enameled earthenware credenza, a rounded niche has been especially designed on the left. Just below, a tailor-made cupboard was added to store platforms and cutting boards, such a practical aesthetic solution. Difficult not to be inspired by this kitchen which has, again, everything to please!
