But is salted in the morning in the morning really essential to lose weight? According to Claire Trommenschlager, aka @Claire.happydiet, Star nutritionist on Instagram, it is an unclear.

In France, the usual breakfast often consists of sugar: jam, orange juice, sweet cereals, spread … However, these foods cause a peak of blood sugar, followed by a brutal fall that promotes cravings in the morning. Result ? Cristering, fatigue, and sometimes weight gain. For some time now, the savory morning meal has been gaining a letter of nobility thanks to its richness in protein and good lipids which have several profits. First of all, prolonged satiety, because Proteins slow down digestion and limit cravings. Then the stability of blood sugar,, Less variations in blood sugar = less fat storage. By eating protein in the morning, you also stimulate your metabolism. Thus, the body spends more energy to digest proteins. But, does that mean that you have to banish sweetness? What to do for those who don’t like to eat salty in the morning?

The specialist explains that: “Two small eggs (120 g both) contain 140 calories, 10 g of lipids and 12 g of protein, but if you have trouble with salty, you can take two Swiss small (120 g both). They contain 104 calories including 11 g of protein and 4.6 g of lipids.” You can add with a cut fruit and a little not too sweet muesli. This alternative is protein, satisfying and completely economical.

It’s all about balance and quality. A sweet breakfast can be healthy if it is made up of low glycemic index foods (whole fruits, oatmeal, plain yogurt, oilseeds, etc.). The problem comes mainly from ultra-transformed products and too rich in fast sugars. Some people feel better by starting the day with salty, others prefer a sweet touch. The secret lies in the quality of food, respect for your hunger and a globally balanced diet.
