Some cars are not only made to shine. They also aim to protect, collect and cross the worst accidents without fail. In fact, only one spell. During a collision with a BMW in pieces, this car resisted without almost anything to appear.
Asked about the Youtube @motorbodies channel, an experienced mechanic did not hesitate to give his opinion. When asked which car he recommended for his robustness, he replied without detours: “There is a car that is indestructible. I mean, it is not indestructible, but it is built as a tank.” In the process, he told a significant accident: “We had a BMW which collided with another car, even if the BMW ended up in pieces, the other remained solid.”
Indeed, for decades, this brand has cultivated an almost legendary solidity. Its reputation does not come from marketing slogans, but from concrete results, validated by independent organizations. Each Euro NCAP EUROST crash test, its models systematically win the best ratings. This is particularly the case for a famous compact SUV launched in 2018, which obtained five stars and an impressive 97 % note for adult protection. Euro NCAP experts are formal: “The passenger compartment remained stable during the frontal lag test. The measurements on model showed good protection of all the critical areas of the body, with the exception of the lower part of the passenger, whose protection was adequate.” Even more, “Good protection would be ensured at the knees and femurs of the occupants of different sizes and those seated in different positions.”
And this robustness is not limited to a single model. From 2017, another five -door SUV also displayed results almost perfect for tests, with a 98 % note in adult safety. In addition, long before security became a marketing argument, the brand in question was already working on major innovations. Disc brakes on the four wheels, generalized airbags, body reinforcements: as many technologies that it has popularized before the others. The mechanic testifies: “You have front and rear disc brakes and airbags everywhere – Volvo was one of the largest innovators in terms of security.” You will understand, it is indeed the Volvo brand which is intended today the strongest on the market.
Unlike other manufacturers who multiply models with spectacular design without always guaranteeing exemplary solidity, others continue to favor the protection of lives. A state of mind that allowed the brand to stay at the top of security rankings, year after year.
